Plastic temperature control

Control of plastic temperature is extremely important in hot runner mold applications. Many processing and product quality problems in the production process are directly caused by the poor temperature control of the hot runner system. For the problem of difficulty in closing and the problem of inconsistent filling time and quality of parts in multi-cavity molds, if possible, a hot runner system with multi-zone segmented temperature control should be selected to increase the flexibility and adaptability of use.

Control of plastic flow

Plastic flow balance in the hot runner system. The gates are opened at the same time so that the plastic fills the cavities simultaneously. For parts with very different weights, the size of the runner should be balanced. Otherwise, there will be problems such as insufficient mold filling and pressure retention for some parts, excessive mold filling and pressure retention for some parts, and poor quality due to excessive flash. The dimension design of the hot runner runner should be reasonable. If the size is too small, the pressure loss of mold filling is too large. If the size is too large, the volume of the hot runner will be too large. The plastic stays in the hot runner system for too long, which will destroy the material properties and cause the parts to fail to meet the requirements of use after molding.
